AmeerArt (a brand of 123 Signs Inc., "AmeerArt," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit ameerart.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Order and contact details: name, phone number, email address, shipping or pickup address, and order notes you send through our checkout, contact form, custom-order form, or order-tracking page.
- Personalization details: names (for example, the groom and bride), wedding date, blessing or message text, and any uploaded reference photos for custom items.
- Payment information: card details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout page and are never sent to or stored on our servers. We receive only a payment confirmation, a masked card brand and last four digits, and the amount charged.
- Account credentials: if you are an admin user, your username and a salted bcrypt hash of your password. Plaintext passwords are never stored.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages you view. This is used for site operation, fraud detection, and rate limiting.
- Local storage: we use your browser's localStorage to remember your shopping cart and language preference. No personal identifiers are stored there.
- Server logs: standard web-server logs (request method, path, status code, response time) are retained for operational and security purposes.
2. How we use your information
- To process your order, take payment, produce your items, and fulfill shipping or pickup.
- To send order confirmations, status updates, and respond to questions you send us.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access (including rate-limiting and security logging).
- To operate, maintain, and improve the website and our products.
- To comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting record-keeping.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing.
3. Service providers we share information with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the site. Each receives only the information needed to perform its function, and is bound by its own privacy and security commitments.
- Stripe — processes all payments. When you pay, your card details are handled directly by Stripe under their privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
- Brevo — relays our transactional emails (order confirmations, status updates). Their privacy policy is at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.
- DigitalOcean — hosts the web server and database in the United States. Their privacy policy is at digitalocean.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) — receive the shipping address and your name to deliver your order.
We may also disclose information to comply with a valid subpoena, court order, or other legal obligation, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of AmeerArt or others.
4. How we protect your information
- All traffic to ameerart.com is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
- Sensitive personal data stored in our database (such as customer names, addresses, and phone numbers attached to orders) is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
- Administrative login is protected by salted bcrypt password hashing and time-based two-factor authentication (TOTP).
- We apply rate limiting and input validation across the site, and we don't store full card numbers, CVVs, or expiration dates.
5. How long we keep your information
We retain order records (including customer name, contact info, and personalization details) for as long as needed to:
- Fulfill the order and provide post-purchase support;
- Meet tax, accounting, and other legal record-keeping requirements (generally up to seven years);
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Server logs are typically rotated within 30–90 days. You may request earlier deletion of identifiable information you provided, subject to the legal-retention limits above.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access — you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — you may ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion — you may ask us to delete personal information we no longer need to retain.
- Marketing email opt-out — we send transactional emails (order confirmations, etc.) by default. We do not currently send marketing email. If that ever changes, every marketing email will include a one-click unsubscribe link.
- California residents — under the CCPA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any right, email info@ameerart.com with the subject "Privacy request" and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Children's privacy
Our products are intended for adult customers planning weddings, engagements, baby showers, and similar celebrations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. International visitors
We are based in the United States and operate the site from servers in the U.S. If you access the site from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 30 days.
